In addition, the companys maintenance facility has extensive experience with Avionics repairs and installations, as well as Heavy Maintenance and Modification of regional airline equipment.

Piedmont Hawthornes APU and LRU/Accessory shops are located in Kernersville, North Carolina, and employ over 60 technicians, 6 managers/supervisor and 12 support staff. The new 56,500 sq./ft. facility opened in January of 2000 replacing the APU operations in Winston-Salem and Melfa, VA. Piedmont Hawthorne has been a Honeywell Authorized Repair Station since 1993.

Piedmont Hawthornes Avionics Shop is located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and employs 11 technicians, 1 manager and 2 support staff. This shop has a Radio Class 1, 2, and 3 repair certificate with a limited instrument rating and specializes in Collins, Honeywell, Universal and Garmin equipment as well as performs a wide variety of repairs and installations.
