SUBJECT: Harter Announces Advanced Thrust Reverser Hydraulic Test System

Harter Industries announced today it has the immediate capability of testing the integrity of hydraulic Thrust Reverser components and various accessories up to 5,800 PSI. This state-of-the-art technology is designed to test the hydraulic thrust reverser components and related equipment of all current and next generation commercial and regional aircraft, including the A380 and B787.

The system is electronically controlled and capable of providing multi-channel dynamic pressures, loading, electronic stimulus, and parametric monitoring to 5,800 PSI (400 bar), and static capability to 10,000 PSI (689 bar). Both the A380 and B787 require a maximum of 5000 PSI in lieu of the current industry standard of 3000 PSI.

In making the announcement, Mr. William Hinski, President and CEO of Harter Industries noted, "This new test system covers virtually all major engine types and is capable of testing Skydrol based Thrust Reverser accessory components in a universal application. The new test system positions Harter Industries as a strong competitor within the hydraulic actuation market segment.
